June 5, 200322 yr I tend to be the type of person who likes to see his lineup of FS addons on the shelf, all nice and neat in their printed (payware) boxes. Now, I love 'Briefing Time' and the printed artwork on the CDs is excellent - but there's no CD jewel case inserts to show them off... arghhhhhh....So, I hope you don't mind but I did some of my own.Front insert here >>>http://www.12manorbier.freeserve.co.uk/B25JCD_front.jpgBack insert here >>>http://www.12manorbier.freeserve.co.uk/B25JCD_back.jpg Hope you like!PS. If anyone has PSS's Vulcan, then they can find a similar post here>>> http://forums.avsim.com/dcboard.php?az=sho...16885&mode=fullPS How do I post a link to a .jpg here without it automatically loading (hence the use of a plain text message)
June 6, 200322 yr Very nice. I'd be real surprised if Bill doesn't use those covers for his production stuff... (assuming it's ok by you..) MIke B.

June 13, 200322 yr Commercial Member Nice work MM. But the lack of a jewel case label for BT was an intentional decision. It comes down to money, mostly, but also workload on yours truly.I burn all the CD's at home on my own equipment, print all the labels, assemble everything and ship it to the museum. All the receipts for the CD-R blanks, paper, ink, and postage are turned over to Linda Strine, MAAM's treasurer, and I get reimbursed for these out of pocket expenses. Because I am notoriously cheap when it comes to spending MAAM's money, I search far and wide for the best prices on this stuff. Every cent I save is more in the museum's restoration funds. Over the several years I have been producing the R4D CD's - seven editions, now - it has become obvious that one of the more expensive items is printer ink. Ink jet cartridges, even from Sam's Club or on-line, are pricey and jewel case labels suck up ink at a prodigeous rate. Eliminating the back jewel case label in the R4D and doing without one entirely in the B-25 has cut down those expenses considerably. The other aspect of the labels is work. When you are doing several hundred CD's in a run, printing, cutting, drying (the darned black ink on the glossy paper can take a couple days to dry in humid weather)and fitting the labels in the cases is very time consuming. So you see, dumping the labels was a no-brainer that it only took my brain a few years to decide upon. ;-)So, I would suggest that anyone who wants a jewel case label download your nice design, or do one of their own to print. One label won't break the bank - and it won't be MAAM's bank. :-) Thanks for the work and the support.
