June 18, 200421 yr Hi,After anxiously waiting, I've just received my R4D-DC3 CD from MAAM. I placed it into my CD drive and no files can be read. I tried another drive and still no luck. There are no apparent scratches or other visible damage on the disk. I tested both drives with several other CDs and there were no problems. It almost seems as if the disk is blank. I emailed MAAM but no reply yet. Is anyone else having this problem?Charlie Felix Charlie FelixIntel Core i7 7700k @ 4.8 GHZ OC, Gigabyte Z270x G7 mother board, 32GB DDR4/2666, 1000 Watt power supply, GTX 1080i-11GB, 512GB & 1TB SSDs, 2TB HDD, Windows 10 Pro (64-bit)
June 18, 200421 yr I'd hang tight... the guy you emailed and need to contact is camping in an RV at MAAM while packaging and mailing out all the CD's. So it might be a bit before he gets your email or checks in here.
June 18, 200421 yr Commercial Member I'm back at the home station, as of 0500 this morning. Where's that coffee? If you find you have a bad disc, shoot me an e-mail at [email protected]. I will be burning and mailing today, so I'll post you a tested replacement off immediately. I'm sorry, but this sort of thing can occasionally slip in when you are burning 1000 CD's under a deadline and can not allow time to test each one.We do use only name-brand stock - Verbatim and Memorex, and I burn at 24 speed, although the discs are nominally capable of taking 48. But once in a while there is a burp in the system, or in this case, a power surge in the motorhome where we burned most of them prior to the show. I apologize. If you like, while you are waiting, I can even provide a link to DL the FS9 aircraft installer and readme, although without the massive manual and PTM, just so you have something to play with while waiting (again!) for the post man to arrive.Speaking of DL, we are exploring all the possibilities of a download for the whole package, but it is going to take us some time to set up, and I have other pressing items on my plate, first.again, I'm very sorry about this. OK, off to the store to get more CDR and jewel case stock.Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM - Rambow, Visser, Banting, Young, Womack, and Sodjahttp://www.fssupport.com/maam_sim/maamsim_logo.gif Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM www.maam.org
