July 4, 200718 yr Commercial Member Yup. Just on vacation. But work proceeds on the TBM and we'll have another announcement soon - Oh what the heck, here goes...The MAAM Online Store will soon be able to handle E-goods. That means we will have download versions of our aircraft packages available for the first time. This should be good news for those who:A. Must have instant gratification - buy now, fly now.B. Live so far back in the hinterlands that their postal service has never heard of them.C. Refuse to pay one penny/farthing/kopek to Customs in import duty.D. Use their CD-ROM drive as a dedicated drink holder. The downloads will save you the shipping costs, too. They will be priced at a flat $25 for the B-25 and $30 for the R4D/DC-/C-47.The downloads will consist of the full FS2004 installers, just as they come on the latest CD editions of both planes. All the manuals and instructional videos will be available for download from our Free Stuff Pages, as they are just too big to include them all in the single download. So when you are all done, you will have everything that is on the CDs.When the TBM is released, hopefully by Summer's end, it too will be a download. The CD's will still be available for those deprived of the bandwidth or patience to download, and the B-25 Multi-Media CD will not be offered as a DL - it's just too massive. If all goes as smoothly as advertised with the integration of our new Viaklix instant CC approval software and our X-Cart store software, we plan to have DL versions of both the B-25 and R4D packages available by mid-July. That allows time for my trip in 'Briefing Time' to the YAM's "Thunder Over Michigan Show" and "Mitchell Madness" this coming weekend to fly in a formation of 16 B-25s! - Whooowhoooo! :-jumpy :-jumpy:-jumpy :-jumpy :-jumpy :-jumpy :-jumpy :-jumpy :-jumpy :-jumpy :-jumpy :-jumpy :-jumpy :-jumpy :-jumpy :-jumpy Bill RambowMAAM-SIM http://www.fssupport.com/maam/hgrsm_blkani.gif Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM www.maam.org

July 30, 200718 yr Commercial Member Hi Chris,I'm still struggling with the X-cart tech support people to get the store's automatic checkout procedure to work properly with the NOVUS viaKlix CC approval software. Both companies say their software is compatible with the other, but...I think we are making progress, but everything is done by e-mail from Russia and changes involve programming in html, smarty, and php. I have very little of my already sparse hair left. My latest message from them is an abject apology that they are so busy. :-(But hope springs eternal and I am getting the download packages ready while crossing my fingers that the E-goods module of X-cart works as advertised!Bill RambowMAAM-SIM http://www.fssupport.com/maam/hgrsm_blkani.gif Bill Rambow MAAM-SIM www.maam.org
