No i'm not a "real" pilot, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Well that's kind Steve. And yours (f/m's) are the ones which set the standard for everyone else, and my best wishes, especially for good health in 2003.As for the B727, I'm really looking forward to ordering one just as soon as I'm convinced it's finished, available and flyable.Happy New Year,Rob Young

Greg,I've already sent it. Twice. And finally lodged a complaint with Paypal. Tell me what you need, Greg, because I can't get answers on the CS forum and sure as hell have been charged for the purchase.

Steve...I think Greg is merely commiserating with you. The way I read it, even as a valued beta tester, he gets the same email saying they don't know him, and to write back. Cheers,bt

Now the light comes on (-:Doh ! Tks ...

I just want to say that since I'm the originator of this post and the main one who said something from the very beginning, Its very interesting to see how many people feel the same as I did about this release. I'm seeing key people in our community (like the guys at FSD) concerned. Avsim has went so far as to lock down my previous post about CaptainSim and even delete a post I put in this string replying to Jose (post #2) as well. I'm saying all this to point out that just because people have a grip, don't be so quick to disregard their complaint until you've checked it out for yourself. The complaint may be justified. A good majority of the Flightsim community is upset with what we have just received from CaptainSim, especially the ones who were patiently waiting for this release. I actually think the aircraft is great but CaptainSim needs to patch this thing up as quickly as possible because like others have stated there is no reason for them releasing this aircraft with among other things a buggy flight model. Especially when the Tech releases FDE was perfectly fine. That's just my two cents on this for now....

You were quite right to rise it. It's clear that most people do "have a grip" and for ** or whoever it was to suggest otherwise was pretty dumb. Your posting here probably made a lot of folks including myself reflect on how not to do business and how unpleasant it is to be rendered powerless.Nobody, least of all me, is beyond making a mistake and I've made a bunch and I'll make a bunch more this year but there's a big difference between making a mistake and consciously flipping folks the bird. Consumers ... all have rights. Maybe not in Russia but most other places they do. You can always reclaim the power : I did.-----Original Message-----From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]Sent: Friday, 3 January 2003 4:31 PMTo: [email protected]: Your payment has been refundedE-Media Group ([email protected]) has refunded your payment.Sometimes having principles is inconvenient but never apologise for having them.Best,

Somewhat off topic... but I have to throw this in there, because I'm Spanish. :-)Here is the list of liveries you get with the 727.US AirEasternUnitedPan AmKFC (Purolator)TWASouth AfricaBritish AirwaysAmerican AirlinesDHLNorthwestFedExLufhansaDeltaCougarBraniffAnsett AustraliaAlitaliaAir FranceAir CanadaNow, call me a serious nitpicker... but where in the hell is Iberia? The first european operator of 727's, and globally, the airline which had more 727's in it's fleet than anyone else, and not on the list? Yes, my friends, no other airline in the world had more 727's in service than Iberia did.Boy... Iberia always get's the shaft. :-) (I guess the 70's disco look on their planes doesn't appeal to everybody.)

Greetings Steve! Well, I guess you're on the "CaptainSim Official Death List" now (wide and wicked grin)! Prepare for receiving a visit from a bunch of (in their own immortal words): "ex-military who have no place for betrayers among their customers". You're a courageous man, Steve, and after you've been duly dealt with by the "ex-military", I will always cherish your memory and maybe even put a little model B727 on your grave (another wide and wicked grin)!Be well, for as long as it lasts!Jaap Verduijn.

Hi Rob,Happy New Year. The same also to you ... I don't plan a repeat of the ticker troubles of 2002 ;-)I see your blokes are making a fist of it in the Fifth Test at the SCG. Way to Go ! Waugh equalled Bradman's effort reaching his 29th Test century - and 10,000 runs - when he cracked a boundary off the last ball of the last over. What an afternoon ! Gimme another Foster's !Greets,Steve

Since there seems to be a little misunderstanding on your part as to why some threads were locked or removed, I thought I'd try to explain it to you. There is nothing wrong with having a complaint about something or voicing your opinion. The problem we have is when it takes the appearance of an attack or a person lets there emotions get the better of them and uses profanity throughout their post, etc.But more importantly, there IS a CaptainSim forum here. It would seem it would make more sense and stand a better chance of getting noticed, if your complaint was posted in an adult manner in that forum, wouldn't it?

Hmmmm... WOW. Do we even want to go down this road? I smell a lock coming. :-)However, I do have to confess, there is a shred of truth to that last statement. Even if it is done subconsciously on the part of the moderators.I mean, it's one thing to not hold the elevator for the secretary... but you would probably think twice if it was the VP heading your way. :-)
