DF 737 auto land

Featured Replies

How does one get the Dream Fleet 737 auto land to work.Have both navs tuned to ILS with course set to runwaybut hitting both auto piolts do not work nor does the appchswitch activate??????

First instinct is to ask where are you when you hit the APP button and what speed are you at?To have an extreme example it is no use hitting the APP button if you are 90 degrees to rwy heading and travelling at 350kts.Make sure your speed is an appropriate approach speed and you are no more than 30 degrees from rwy hdg, APP should then work.HTH

The story is as old as the DF737. First establish your right track. Then establish the glideslope. Make sure you have the right speed. Than land the airplane by hand. After that you can switch the AP on.Just kidding of course. There are numerous threads here and in the Dreamfleet support forum about this. According to DF the autoland function works fine. If that is true I would never again get in a 737 in bad weather conditions. Fact is: It works, but is very sensitive if you have not established track and glideslope before activating it.Alex
