May 16, 200422 yr HOLY COW! http://www.saitekusa.com/usa/prod/x52.htm It even has an LCD display on the throttle!
May 16, 200422 yr No force feedback, though... that would have made it perfect. Doesn't look like anyone's stepping into the FF market since Microsoft abandoned their excellent joystick, too bad. Joel
May 17, 200422 yr Well one thing kills it for me, rudder operation via a twist stick.IMHO that is a backwards step and I'm not sure about the placement of the rotary on the throttle. When I first started simming I used a MS Sidewinder FF stick, that had a twist stick rudder and I hated it and the throttle control was next to useless.Unable to afford a CH Yoke and pedals I bought a Siatek X36 and found the throttle and rudder control to be far superior to that on the Sidewinder.Still have the X36 but now have CH pedals although to be honest the control is only slightly better.I don't know why they have gone away from the rudder control of the X36 & X45.What I would like is optical sensors rather than pots, at least for the main X, Y & Z axis.
May 18, 200422 yr And if it also had FF, it would be my next buy. But imagining life without FF, is like going zillion years back. My MSFF2 simply rules. Except the throttle, which I'd like to have from X-xx. :)
