Thanks for your reply P

Have a look at www.tomshardware.com, they recently did a test on larger TFT monitors and earlier in the year did a test on 15 & 17 inch ones.Their tests suggest that response times quoted can be marketing hype.Based on their earlier tests I bought a Hyundai (Quest) 17 inch TFT and am very happy with it, screen res is 1280x1024 and with digital input is limited to 60MHz refresh but of course TFT's do not sufer from flicker like CTR's do.IMHO the image is much clearer and far better contrast than my 19 inch Compaq CTR, the only downside is I think the TFT shows any 'jaggies' more than a CTR. Against that is the space and weight saving, moving the 19 inch CTR is bad enough, I hate to think what a 22" CTR would be like :-erks I have no problem with smearing but have a look at those tests, and if you can ask to see the Sony TFT running with either FS or a similarly fast moving sim/game and judge for yourself.Best of luck.

Yes the reaction time is measured in the most favourable conditions as always. Just like they like to measure PSU performance at 25 degree C when those never run so cold.
