July 13, 200421 yr Where is the X800 XT Platinum Edition video card available? I have called CDW, ComUSA, ATI, Visiontek, Asus, Gigabyte distributors and resellers for weeks now with no luck. I really want one. I see prices fron $450-695 stated but nobody has any stock. What's the real story. I hear that ATI has had problems getting the 256M video RAM chips. Is there any difference between the various manufacturers cards and the real ATI ones? Thanks, regards, Bob.

July 13, 200421 yr Newegg received a few Powercolor XT's last Friday and immediately sold them out at... $600.00 ea!!!The ram modules supply is proving to be quite a problem for both ATI and nVidia. Bottom line right now is anybody who can get their hands on an X880 XT will pay a very high premium.I'll pass until my next major system upgrade later in the year. Most system available today can't really take advantage of the power of these new video cards.Personally, I would buy a Radeon from ATI, Sapphire, ASUS, or HIS. Just my choices.GregEdit: Just found this... it's enough to stop your heart!! http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33769158
