October 26, 200421 yr Having read everything I can find about Joysticks for FS2k4..my brain is going in circles.. Somehow I don't think this is an earth-shattering decision. :>) BUT..any suggestions?...money is no object! (If only that were true with the big items in life.) I don't even remember what I had with FS98..too long ago...but it was a CH...something-or-other...Thanks...
October 26, 200421 yr If someone finds a better joystick than Saitek Cyborg 3D USB then please let me know..But I have a basic requirement - it must have interchangable left/right hand arrangement and a precise throttle (long throw).Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2, Omega 2.7.90 (4xAA 16xAF) Michael J.
October 27, 200421 yr Money no subject? Well Thrustmaster Cougar perhaps? Otherwise a Saitek X-45 should be sweet if you don
October 27, 200421 yr I've been very happy with my Saitek X-45. If you fly prop planes, it has two rotary dials that can be assigned to mixture and prop RPM. That's by far the most precise method I've found to control those parameters.
October 27, 200421 yr Dnelson about the X45 if you hold it with the left hand how well do it fit? I am a lefty thus doomed when it comes to HOTAS joysticks :(. Have tried fly with my right just can
October 27, 200421 yr The X45 has a completely seperate joystick and throttle, and unfortunately each is designed for only one hand. The joystick has a large palm rest on it, and it doesn't work well in the left hand. Also, the throttle is molded to fit only the left hand, and the buttons and dials can't be reached at all if you use the right hand.Being a pilot, and reaching for the throttle with my right hand for almost 30 years, this took a while to get used to. But I'm pretty comfortable with it now.
October 27, 200421 yr Yeah I have seen it in stores even but never thought to try it with my left hand :(I don
