March 4, 200521 yr I wonder why I keep 'losing' my anti-alising. One second everything looks OK. Then, maybe after switching to cockpit view and back, everything (planes, including AI, scenery etc.) is like a saw blade. Sometimes reloading the plane, or even pressing the alt key once and then again, will bring back the smooth edges.I've treid various drivers for my graphics card (ATI and Omega versions), changing settings for anti-aliasing on the card and in FS9.1, so that I must have had every combination of on and off that is possible (bilinear, trilinear, none, off entirely, all with and without the antialiasing set up on the graphics card). My default is AA off in FS9 and on high on the Radeon card... I hardware tested my memory sticks and they seem fine. Page file can get as big as it likes. I am at a loss... Maybe someone can help. March 4, 200521 yr The last few iterations of the catalyst drivers I had the same problems. No with the 5.2's I havent seen it once. What I used to do is jump out of the sim (minimize) and open up the vid properties and just recheck the AA setting, not change, just recheck it, then it allowed me to save it again and once back in the sim it would be a jumbled screen for a moment then all was well for that session. Might be a hardware problem, how old is the card? Do you overclock?Hornit
March 4, 200521 yr Author That was quick! Thanks... I've tried Catalyst and Iomega tweaked drivers (got the Catalyst 5.2s in at the moment); can't say I see any difference. My card is a Radeon 9800 Pro and is about one year old. I don't overclock (too much of a coward!!).Other than interupting a flight and doing such as you suggest, I can't find a solution - and the improvement may only last until I change views a couple of times even then!Martin Martin Stebbing, EGLF (UK)
