July 1, 200520 yr My BFG 6800GT OC is a fantastic card. I recommend it! I paid $399 for it a year ago, and it's only depreciated about $50. Great card! Lots of newer ones since though that I haven't kept up with. nVidia drivers: mucho more stable vs my experience with my prior ATI 9700 Pro. This card never screws up, ever. Radeon screwed up in small ways in many games, and I was very careful with my installatio procedures.Noel Noel System: 9900X3D Noctua NH-D15 G2, MSI Pro 650-P WiFi, G.SKILL 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000, WD NVMe 2Tb x 1, Sabrent NVMe 2Tb x 1, RTX 4090 FE, Corsair RM1000W PSU, Win11 Home, LG Ultra Curved Gsync Ultimate 3440x1440, Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case, TCA Boeing Edition Yoke & TQ, Cessna Trim Wheel, RTSS Framerate Limiter w/ Front Edge Sync. Aircraft used in MSFS 2024: Fenix A320, Aerosoft CRJ, FBW, WT 787X, I-Fly 737 MAX 8, Citation Longitude.
July 1, 200520 yr Good suggestion, Noel. I just upgraded a few months ago from a GeForce Ti 4200 to my GeForce 6600 GT, and since I've OC'd it, my computer really appreciates it. It's a good jump!EDIT:Drivers: I believe 66.93 Detonators came with the card, but I have ForceWare 77.72's now, only because I tried to rectify a situation in a game, (didn't work...). The new drivers work good on this card, but for a guy like me on dial-up, the 20MB file can be a bit much.Anyway, good luck, Dave!-JeremyThe Ozark DogfighterHappy Flying!
