Dual Monitor Horizontal Stretch with ATI CCC

Featured Replies

I was wondering if it was possible to have dual monitor horizontal stretch in full screen mode with ATI Catalyst Control Centre? I am able to get it to work in the desktop, and with FS9 running in window mode, but when I switch to full screen, I get two views of the same thing, one on each monitor, instead of one view streched over the two monitors. Basically it treats it as if it's in clone mode when in full screen. Is there something I am missing, or is horizontal stretch only possible in window mode? Thanks,Bill

Bill It works for me. From memory use the stretch to CRT option. This adds the horizontal resolution of the two monitors together. You can then select this option in the list of resolutions in FS2004.A new world of flight simming but you cannot really use the 2d panels as they will not fit the new resolution. It is easily compensated for by the much larger VC - I never use the 2d panel.

Thanks for your reply Howard. I originally did as you suggested, and it works great in window mode, but as soon as I switch to full screen, I get the two unstreched views of the cockpit on each monitor. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I did change the resolution in the list of resolutions in FS9 to the same one as the desktop, and it still wont work in full screen. Thanks,Bill

Bill,Without FS running does the taskbar and the picture on the desktop stretch right across the two monitors as continuous items?

Howard, yes, it does. The background picture is in the centre of the two screens split half on each monitor. I have both monitors set to the same resolution as well.Bill

BillI am clutching at straws - it maybe worth temporarily renaming your fs9.cfg and letting FS create a new one and they try full screen.
