VC across 4 monitors in FS9

Featured Replies

I have 2 video cards each with 2 monitors attached and I want to have a pannable VC, not stretched, in Full Screen that spans all 4 monitors.I have 2 GeForce 7800 cards and with the latest Nvidia drivers, version 77.77, I can either have 4 "desktops" of 1024x768 or I can have a "Horizontal Span" across the 2 monitors attached to each card. This gives me 2 "desktops" of 2048x768. What i really want is to have one 4096x768 "desktop" so that in the FS9 Hardware Display settings I can select 4096x768 as my resolution. If this can't be done, is it possible to run 2 or more VCs, in window mode, and have them stay synched when I pan?

I am not sure..if your Processor can handle that well.Have you looked at WideView? They give you multiple views by networking multiple computers. Its not perfect.. But I have gone that route.

Let me know if you achieve it. I think you will need both of the graphics cards to be PCI express for adequate performance. In addition you need software that will allow the required monitor reolutions to be added together. For me the ATI Catalyst Control Centre will only allow two monitors to be added. Not sure what nVidea has to offer but from what you say it appears to be similar. The only time I have seen the VC stretched across three monitors is on the Matrox Parahelia but this probably does not have the performance to run with all of the FS settings maxed at an adequate frame rate.
