i must say its quite a sleek monitor, but what really took me back isnt the size as much, (as i am coming from a 21" CRT) but the sharpness and clarity of this monitor. It is a very nice monitor with very great colours and hopefully it will last me a long time. However one thing id like to see is, if its possible how do i get more of the cockpit in the screen? Coming from a 21"CRT i thought id see more of the cockpit but what i see is exactly the same in the 24"?I have it set at 1920 x 1200 and had the 21" at 1200 x 1600.Also im running a 6600GT card and have no problems performance wise, so its a good thing i dont need to upgrade my GPU.

Hi Clayton!I got this monitor about 3 weeks ago and it's one of the best investments ever! Not sure what you mean about "...more of the cockpit in the screen". The only time I have to adjust getting "more cockpit in the screen" is when in VC mode. But then, that was also true with my old 17" CRT. In fact, more of the cockpit fits in the screen with the 2405.You do sometimes have to punch the "minus" key (-) to make things smaller as to fit on the screen. Do I hear you correctly?Ed Lin, D.O.S.

Hi Edwell coming from a 21" CRT the resolution of 1200x is the same as for the 24" thats why i dont see any more of the cockpit in the screen, but in a 17" your resolution would have been 1024 so thats why you now can see more cockpit, yes i suppose i will have to use the - key to get more cockpit.rgds

Not having a "Wide" screen monitor, I cannot say for sure but I know that either windows or the video card will try and stretch the image to fit the screen size. That is why most of the default panels (2D) look so bad on wide screens.Terry

hi Terryin fact i am quite amazed at how 'good' the 2D panel of the 737 PMDG looks in 2D,it is so crisp n sharp n if i was a 2D pilot this monitor is a dream as you can see every details, things i couldnt see on my 21" CRT and the whole cockpit is so much larger!
