January 13, 200620 yr You could try my setup: I have a SHARP 120v thru wall 9K BTU air conditioner aimed directly at point blank range at my CPU/memory/motherboard, and I leave that side of my Lian Li case open. This room gets a bit warm anyway with my various electronics and beheamoth 21" sony crt, so it's needed even though it is a bit of overkill. To appreciate how effective this approach is, I am able to run by 3y old mainboard and 2GB of ram, and 3.06GHz P4 at 3588 at 1.65v with a STOCK RETAIL HSF, and my GF6800GT/OC at 410, so there you have it. During cooler days I just use the fan only. Not a bad method as long as you use a headset as it is a little louder than a vapochill sx! And when I use my rig for non gaming, as in Gigastudio and other audio, or general business needs, the ac unit goes off unless it's warm in the summer.Noel. Yee Haw! :-jumpy I'd been thinking about trying something likethis myself. Two questions; 1. Do you have any condensation problems? 2. You're not from the Ozarks, by any chance, are you?:-badteeth Denny Denny Retired Professional Tourist
January 14, 200620 yr Hi y'all,I did not buy the case. I was not really sure about this. It looked to me like a lot of fooling around is needed to get this going and just having lifted my old installation to the new mobo and all I didn't feel like it. But sooner or later I will look into sumpn like that. Right now I am checking this out. Looks like a lot less hazzle to me. You do not even have to remove the retention clip of the mobo.http://www.1a-cooling-shop.de/shop/index_e.htmAnyway, I did not want to hijack this forum as an overclockers board :-).Alex
