February 21, 200620 yr Hi.I moved from ATI 9500 to 9800 PRO.I'm trying to get maximum from my new card.I'm using Omega drivers, and I don't understand what settings are critical for getting high performance.I'm using ATI Tray Tools which have a lot of settings. Temporary I'm using FS2004 with 4AA and 16AF. I'm interested to understand tweaking option under ATI Tray Tools. Any good explanation..Thanks in advanceEdinAMD Barton 2500+Club 3D 9800PRO1GB PC3200

But try 2X and see if it helps.Try lowering AF to 8 or 4, and select Performance and not quality. Also, select "Performance" under "Texture Preference" and "MipMap Detail Level".Be sure "Support DXT texture format", "Anisotropic Filtering Optimization" and "Trilinear Filtering Optimization" are checked, and "A.I." is set to high.Under "Standard Tweaks", make sure "Geometry Instancing" and "Fast Z Clear Enable" are checked.Marco "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
February 22, 200620 yr >Thanks Marco.>What is the purpose of A.I. I set to OFFA.I. is for Artificial Intelligence. It's a feature that _should_ intelligently optimize the performance of the card "on the fly", that is while playing. I couldn't find much more info on the net. However, it seems to not make a big difference in performance.Marco "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".

In my experience, setting it on reduces performance, but you may want to experiment with your setup. Some good info on Catalyst AI: http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1558,1649802,00.asp
