March 30, 200620 yr My first post here and its a problem :( I have a Saitek Cyborg 3D Force joystick which does not react as it should in FS2004. I have the latest drivers for the joystick but one problem is that I am unable to get full throttle from the throttle levers - only about 3/4. Therefore, it is difficult to control the aircraft during checkrides etc.On another checkride, I altered the rudder control slightly (twisting the joystick handle) and the aircraft became uncontrollable, gyrating all over the sky. I have tried diferent settings of sensitivity and null etc. but no joy. Can anyone help me out here please? For your info, I regard myself as above-average re. computers etc. Could be the joystick is faulty but it works OK in driving games. Thanks in advanceJohn
March 30, 200620 yr i assume you calibrated your stick? But, since about FS2000 I have used FSUIPC (now requires payware version) to process the axis inputs. scott s..
March 31, 200620 yr The manual to this game controller states that before you open up the game (FS), you have got to rotate the stick in all directions, rotate the rudder in both directions and then move the throttle a complete up and down. Then and only then can you open the game. This is the self-calibration it requires. I too had problems until.....I read the directions...Hope this help you!Paul
March 31, 200620 yr HiThank you for your comments and advice but, Paul, I cannot find the directions you refer to in the manual. Perhaps mine is an older version. Anyway, since my post I managed to fix the problem.I found this page http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb;en-us;823631and followed the instructions to step 11.I held down shift+ctrl as I booted FS2004 and found the throttle to be working OK. Later, I found that I had to go into the joystick properties and set the rudder control as per Paul's directions to have the rudder working OK. So, it could be a combination of the two solutions that got the joystick working OK.Thanks again for your input and happy landings.John
