April 4, 200620 yr If you ever have a problem like mine, maybe this helps :-)When I started my PC this morning, I was in big trouble.Nothing worked: my BIOS was beeping, and after loading Windows XP every application I started immediately was terminated (including the Start button. I was really lost, rebooted several times, and could only come to one conclusion: a virus on my PC.Now, how the h*** did a virus enter my well-protected PC ??After hours of seaching the Internet on another PC, I couldn't find anything resembling my problem, and I felt I had no other option then re-installing my whole system. ARgggggg... :-(BUT, when I went under my desk to disconnect my homebuilt cockpit (nothing fancy) suddenly the problem went away !!What happened ??I use two keyboard:- A USB keyboard on my desk, for normal typing.- A second PS2 keyboard under my desk, which I use as an interface to my home cockpit (so pressing a switch has the same result as pressing a key wired to that switch)Now, after my wife had been vacuumcleaning, she accidentally bumped into that keyboard which caused it to fall over. And because of it, the Escape key on that keyboard was continuously pressed.Which gave the above mentioned effect :-(Lesson learned :-) ...Cheers, Rob Barendregt

April 5, 200620 yr Thanks for the tip Rob :-)Next time you see the missus vacuuming near the keyboard, use the 'push-back' file, LOL.Dave T. .........On the Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/http://www.captainsim.com/user/dl/c130/c130_captain.gif Dave Taylor
