April 10, 200620 yr Hi Folks,I have an Athlon 4200 (64 X 2 dual core) computer which I've been told is rated at 2.2 gig.Does anyone have any idea what the equivelent Pentium 4 would be?I'm happy with the computer but would like to know what the Pentium equivilent is so I can figure how I match up to "recommened system" requirements for various addons.Thanks....
April 10, 200620 yr I think the "4200" means its performance is comparable to a Pentium4 4.2G (which doesn't exist, I know). That AMD numbering system started with AMD AthlonXP. Now we have AMD64 then dual core, so I am not sure if these numbers' original meaning is still valid. I think the best way is to find some CPU benchmarks at places like tomshardware.Jason JasonFAA CPL SEL MEL IR CFI-I MEI AGI
