June 18, 200619 yr Hi Clayton - Agreed, it looks really good. I just saw an ad for the first time here on AVSIM and immediately checked it out.I guess the only "competition" (if you want to consider it to be competition) is Ilan Papini's Virtual Sailor. That one simulates sails, though - not sure if Ship Simulator will.Oddly enough, I was recently pondering the idea that with worldwide coverage, Flight Simulator would actually make a pretty decent base for a nautical simulator!I think they're treading thin water (pun intended?) with the Ship Simulator logo, though - it's far too close to the Flight Simulator logo for comfort. The graphics look phenomenal and I think there's a big market here!Andrew H e l p k e e p A V S I M f l y i n g

June 18, 200619 yr Hey Clayton, Yeah, I think this thread will be bounced :)Post if you try the demo! I'll try it, but probably not until monday or so.BTW - I looked at your system specs, and while it's obviously not a $4000 machine, it smokes mine. How does that run FS for you? June 18, 200619 yr Author lol yeayea with my system, its medicore, but i do use PMDG 737800 all the time and its quite taxing on the system. I do get acceptable framerates locked at 20, but i used to get bad stutters through clouds, but since after i used ActiveSky things have improved.I am going to upgrade around Jan when i get FSX, yes my system is becoming 'dated' so i will upgrade around January.
