September 4, 200619 yr Hello! I just had a new graphics card installed. It is a GEForce 7600GS,AGP,512 MB. The driver is dated 06-01-2006. Well, so far the graphics I'm getting in FS are awful!! Lots of squigglys, and blurries and frankly I feel the images should be much sharper than what they are!! I've tried doing some tweaks from inside FS in the settings area with only slight improvement. I've also gone thru the re-building the FS9.cfg route which did not do much of anything. So I'm wondering if anyone out there might be able to lend a hand on this?? Any help would really be great!! Thanks much..... Dan Green

September 5, 200619 yr Hello: Thanks for the suggested settings. I will take a look at this tomorrow. One thing I did not mention was that in the settings in the card itself some are set 'application controlled' (antialiasing, anisotropic, etc.). Is that OK and is it OK to adjust them? Thanks... Dan Green
September 5, 200619 yr Yes, adjust those to suit. Also get latest drivers, those are old. Very old91.47 are out. Use them as a starting point.Allcott
September 5, 200619 yr Hello Alcott! Wow that's surprising!! I thought that since the driver date was from June 1st of this year they would be very new!! I'll go look at the Nvidia site and see! Thanks very much for the info!! Regards..... Dan Green
September 6, 200619 yr Yeah.. After installing the new driver make sure you change the Anisotropic Filerting to 8X or whatever in the hardware. In the nVidea driver setting. After reading this thread, I went and updated my driver. Mine was still 71.xx and I just updated to 91.47. :(I thought my FX5900 Ultra wouldn't matter with all these new drivers. But I was wrong.WOW.. I think I just increased my FPS by 10 or something.:)Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
