September 9, 200619 yr well i finally did a mini upgradei went from my 1 gig of ram to 2 gig of ram, i also replaced my 6600GT to a 7600GT AGP card, i ran a before and after AquaMArk 3 at default settings i got the following with my pre upgrade systemGFX 3615 pointsCPU 7203 pointstotal score 28905then i installed the above and i got a 100% increase in performanceGFX 9459CPU 7405total score 57725 !!!i then did a test flight, in the PMDG 737NG textures are loading so much quicker and my dreaded approach into klax was now really smooth! so i am very happy with this upgrade it will keep my going for 12 months till i do a complete new system overhaul and hopefully get into the new directx 10 cards which should be well and truly on the market by then. But then if DX10 is just way too good to pass up, I might have to do it sooner. If I can resist.I don't want to spend 10,000,000 $$ on a DX10 card.RhettAMD 3700+, eVGA 7800GT 256, ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 GB Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8, etc. etc. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

September 10, 200619 yr That is So Cool!! I love stories like this...Hope you enjoy your new set-up..Have Fun!!
September 10, 200619 yr Wow, I didn't think there would be THAT much difference in FSX between a 6600 vs. a 7600. Well that really was a very good upgrade for you then. They keep saying FSX will scale better with GPU's than any previous version of FS, and I guess your experience kinda bears that out...RhettAMD 3700+, eVGA 7800GT 256, ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 GB Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8, etc. etc. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
