September 18, 200619 yr Sadly I'm still using a G-Force FX 5200, 128 mb card. I hope "Santa" will bring me a better card for Christmas - I wonder what he would suggest? Also, until then, those of you who use this card what have you found to be the most stable driver to use? Thanks for your input.AMD Athlon 2.0 CPU1 GB memoryASUS A7V8X-XWIN XP, 2 SP

I think any more vid card (like a 7800) would be overkill for your computer. No point in spending $300 on a video card, because your cpu will be your limiting factor.RhettAMD 3700+, eVGA 7800GT 256, ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 GB Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8, etc. etc. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
September 20, 200619 yr Rhett:Thanks for your input regarding my FX 5200 card. Since I don't plan on FSX until I've seen many users opinions AND I'm probably a year or so away from an overhaul of my system it looks like a 6800 series is the best option for now. Thanks again for your reply.GLBatRIC
September 20, 200619 yr i think there was a guy wanting to sell his 6800gt on the swap board for 150.00 or best offer! not sure either of yours card type (agp vs pcie) athough suspect yours to be AGB from your specs.Gregg
