November 23, 200619 yr I have the opportunity to purchase a "GIGABYTE GeForce 6800GT 256MB Graphics Card *AGP 8x" at a good price to replace my Nvidia FX5200.Any comments as to performance with FS9 Positive/Negative.Many thanjks Richard
November 23, 200619 yr I am still running a PNY 6800GT 256mb (combined with a 3.2HT machine and 2gb memory). At 1600x1200 and pretty high settings the 6800GT does very well for me. I have no desire to upgrade from this card until I upgrade my machine.

Never bothered to upgrade to a higher end card because visuals are great, no stutters etc.Of course SLI is the only way to go when I build mysekf a new machine.
November 23, 200619 yr As others have said, a 6800 is more than enough for FS9 and certainly much better than an FX5200 if you want to turn AA/AF right up.Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
November 23, 200619 yr I have twin 6800 Ultra OC's, which are overclocked right out of the box. I've been running on a single card for a long time though as performance in SLi really doesn't increase as much as I'd hoped it to in some games. The 6800 is more than enough to run FS9 maxed out.btw: my second Ultra OC card is for sale.
