FSX on 2nd HD???

Featured Replies

I put in a 2nd HD for Flight Simulator and I just put it in D:FSX folder. I wonder if I will have problems later on with addons??? IIt wanted to put it in D:/Program files/Microsoft Games/FSX. I dont't think I can just rename folder without getting into trouble. Would appreciate info on what others are doing for install on 2nd drive. My C drive already has C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Links 2002.Thanks in advanceChuck

That should cause no problems. I've run mine like that before with zero problems with any addon.Presently I have mine all on one hd, but in E:FSX.Your post is really kind of a hardware post but it's okay. There is a separate forum for hardware posts and it might get more informed responses there, actually. For me install 1 for XP is F:Flight Simulator X. Install 2 for Vista is F:VistaFlight Simulator X. The only thing I had to do was to run the configSDK.exe tool because my SDK is installed at F:flight simdocumentationFSX SDK.FWIW FS9 is at E:Microsoft GamesFlight Simulator 9.I never install to C:Program Files unless the installer gives me no choice.scott s..

Yeah, I'm running FSX in D:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Sim, blah blah blah and it runs as smooth as silk! :)
