Featured Replies

Ive recently installed Nvidia driver 77.77 directly from there site, now ever since this install I can run fs9 no problem, but when i go to open a window whithin fs9(ex. from the drop down menu's ill click fspassengers, or aeroworx, or PMDG, and select a setting when the box opens it's just pitch black) this happens for any window I open, be it the kneeboard or a add-on specific window, the screen is just black. I hope i make sense hereAnyone encounter this before. Thanks P.S I have a Nvidia geforce FX 5500 OC 256mb card.

This is a known problem with Nvidia Drivers. If you have the AA set above 4X this will cause the aircraft selection screen as well as the menu screens within the sim to be black. Try turning your AA down. It most likely is higher than 4X. Nvidia was able to make the tearing issue they had with the drivers much better, but when they did, this new bug appeared. I don't think they will ever fix it as it has been a long time. Post back your results. Also, you will most likely find this thread in the Hardware forums over on the FSX side very soon. Alot of people have missed where to post hardware related issues since the FS9 forum was created. I hope this helps you out.
