Hi Mike,That mothervoard is very expensive. Unless you have money to throw away, a less expensive alternative would be the EVGA 680i 122-CK-NF68-AR or TR (the TR comes with a 2 year warranty as opposed to a lifetime warranty with the AR). In most published benchmarks, there is very little difference between the Asus and EVGA, and not nearly enough to justify the cost.The only CPU that might be better is not available yet, but Intel has announced a Penryn core on a 45nm manufacturing process with speed increases a very probable result. Not due out until the latter part of this year, but this is good news for all who await increased processor speeds for our beloved sim.Regards,Jim Karn

As far as I know, the R600 is not yet available. Your best bet for best performance is currently the nVidia 8800 GTX.
