February 10, 200719 yr Hi to all;It seems that my CH Pro pedals are wearing out. As I'm taxing the PMDG 737, the brakes come on by themselves or one of the differential brakes operates and won't release at times. You can imagine the havoc this causes on landing roll-outs and suddenly your craft goes right or left. Or while taxing, plane comes to a stop because the brakes are on, or pulls right or left.Since the pedals are no longer under warranty, is there something I can do to adjust the pedals? I've done all I can in FS's sensitivity setting and that has no effect. This occurs in FS9 and truthfully, I'm not sure it occurs with other aircraft. Will try it though.Has anyone bought the new Saitek ProFlight Pedals? How do you like them? I'm thinking of replacing my CH ones with it.Thanks for any responses.
February 10, 200719 yr You can disassemble the pedals, clean up the insides, regrease the tracks, reset the position of the pots, then put it back together if you like. I have done this twice now and gained an extra few years service each time before such troubles come back.WARNING though, these pedals are like a spring loaded bear trap, so make sure you pull it apart with great care and use a digital camera to help you remember where everything goes. The reason I suggest this is that you have nothing to lose really. If you end up with a pile of parts, then you just go out and buy an alternative like you were originally planning.Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
February 11, 200719 yr Have you tried calibrating them in FSUIPC? Mine were doing the same. Calibration worked for me.Ken Ken
February 11, 200719 yr Author Yes I have. The right brake pedal does not register in FSUIPC now. All other axes do register, so I suspect a problem with the pedals. Thanks for the suggestion though.Jim
February 11, 200719 yr Author OK how does one go about adjusting the pots? Is this accessible from the base or from the pedals?I'm willing to give it a go, so a little guidance would be helpful and appreciated here. Thanks,Jim
