March 9, 200719 yr Ive had a ch flight sim yoke le for a many years now and I ahve never had a problem. But as I was flying today the elevators would not respond, out of the blue. I did not touch any settings in. All of the sliders and checkboxes are as they should be and as they were before the incident. The only thing I was doing differently was I was slewing the aircraft and during slew the elevators stopped responding. I tried "calibrate joystick" and the aileron controls work fine but there is no response for when I pull back on the yoke. Any ideas?
March 9, 200719 yr . . . sounds like the centre wire to the elevator pot is "disconnected". . . meaning it could be a solder joint gone dry, the wire is physically broken at the pot, the wire is broken at the cct board. Get your screwdriver out! :-)Regards, i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.

March 10, 200719 yr Before you try anything else.....If it's the USB model try unplugingand repluging it. If you're running XP, Windows should give you a "FoundNew Hardware" chime and balloon. Then see if it's back. I've had trouble with this in the past and doing what I described, ordoing a "Hot" reboot of the computer would fix it. Denny Retired Professional Tourist
March 15, 200719 yr Just tried opening it up and apparently its not possible without breaking the thing. Also I though it was kinda strange that when I sake it things make noise inside. So I pried it open just a bit and shook the thing and waddaya know, a nut and bolt comes out.... Should I just get a new one?
March 17, 200719 yr hahahahah!:-):-):-):-):-)Sorry, Mike! If you take a razor saw you can likely cut it open along the glue joints. Then fix what's wrong and put it back together using crazy glue. Good luck! i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
