how to download aircraft to flight sim x

Featured Replies

if downlading them to my c: drive and doing it that way doesn't work what does that mean? I was able to get one aircraft? What are other options for downloading freeware so they actually appear under the aircraft when I open FSX??

After Downloading, you still need to install aircraft into FS. Just open up zip. after download, and read the readme text, Almost all authors are so kind enough to explain how to install their aircraft. Also make sure aircraft you are downloading is for FSX.! Hope this helps, HAKU

thank you I will try..

What if there is no readme?what do I do if im downloading off of simviation. I'm not good with computers I don't even know what a zip. is.

.Zip is the file extension for files created with WinZip - most designers package their files inside of a zip file.Windows XP automatically opens .zip files for you, so you don't need to download/buy winzip. If there isn't a readme, come back here and ask for more info

The best tutorial for adding aircraft to FS is at www.flightsim.com. They have tutorials on how to add aircraft, panels, sound, scenery... I am not sure if they have one for FSX yet but the process is very similar. This is what I used to learn when I got in to freeware in 2000. AVSIM should do something similar. Once you learn, it is very easy. Frankly, I have picked up a lot of what I know about computers because of my FS hobby.
