June 30, 200718 yr I will be posting this question at FSUIPC Forums as well but I'd appreciate some 'hands on' advice from users of the full version of FSUIPC. My intention is to purchase the full version this coming week, purely, in an attempt to stabilise the inputs of my joystick (Logitech Extreme 3D Pro) to FS9 which, I understand, has many shortcomings in this area. Bottom Line: Does FSUIPC dispell the necessity of tedious recalibration of the previously mentioned joystick inputs? It almost drives me 'spare'. I absolutely concede that there are better input devices out there but this is the one I have and in other areas (viz: Combat Flight Sims) it is more than adequate. FS9, not so. Your advice will be much appreciated, as well as any additional advice re: Joystick Calibration.Jon
July 1, 200718 yr I have used FSUIPC to calibrate my Saitek X36 stick/throttle for years Jon and would not do it any other way.The FSX version of FSUIPC has some extra options for joystick calibration which can make inputs even smoother.Because you can see the values generated by the joystick axis it is much easier to set null zones to mask any small fluctuations. If your stick is USB then it *should* automatically keep itself centered I belive. However if the potentiometers are dirty or worn then values will fluctuate a lot and no software can cure that.Having said all that I'm sure you will get a more refined answer in Pete's forum.
