August 11, 200718 yr Just built a new machine around a 8800GTX/E6850 combo, XP etc.Anyone who's gone through the whole tweaking process post SP1 like to enlighten me as to the best way to setup the 8800 and FSX in general to take best advantage of the setup.(currently have 4GB fitted, XP SP2, FSX SP1, 1920x1200 res', CPU currently running at stock)Cheers all.
August 12, 200718 yr Sure...Get your FSX settings from the Vancouver+ FSX manual suggestions, they are a great place to start. You'll need to DL and install nHancer, delete it's existing FS config and create a new config for FSX to get AA to work. Suggested settings are on the forum, search for nhancer.Add the out of memory tweak search for OOM, and add mipbias=6 to your fsx config. Consider the bufferpools tweak too since you have lots memory on the video card. That should get you going real nice, I'd o/c the CPU too :)Have fun, if you need more details just ask.
