September 15, 200718 yr Moderator Someone asked me what my new build looked like around New York. If I've done it right, the attached should give some idea. I've included the framerate counter for those who think that it's important. Also a pix of my basic settings. Additionally I have AI set at 20% for Airline & General. Boats , cars, etc are set at 40%.You'll notice that I'm over 300kts at 1500 feet. I did this to test the blurries and/or stutters - there were none. I'm also in a sharp left bank which seems to cause more stress on the graphics. If the pix come out right you should see no blurries. For the framerate junkies - it's smooth at those frames and if I climb higher they increase.Only thing that would have made a difference would be if there were heavy clouds - that would affect my FR but I'm still tweaking in that area. This is the worst case scenario and the results are still very flyable.BTW, the framerates were the same taxiing at JFK.Q6600 G0 CPU 2.4 o/c 3.6Evga 680i A1 with P30 BIOS 2G XP2-8500 DDR2 1066FSB Mushkin 996535 RAM 5-5-4-12-2T320G 7200 HD partitioined for XP/Vista/Programs 2 - 74G Raptors in RAID0 500G 7200 HD for backup SATA DVD burner Evga 8800GTS 640 PCIx Kandalf LCS case w/ built in liquid cooling 850W Thermaltake power supplyVisit the Virtual Pilot's Centerwww.flightadventures.comRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/ RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
September 15, 200718 yr Turn water down to 2Xlow and turn off Ground shadows, (Aircraft shadows are ok!) and you should see frames closer to the low 20's in that area with those settings! Visually you really don't miss much!! Thanks Tom My Youtube Videos! http://www.youtube.com/user/tf51d
September 15, 200718 yr Author Moderator I agree but I wanted to try with the 'default' settings that FSX set before I play around too much. It gives me a base to work from.Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
