the 1920x1200 24 inch Samsung

Featured Replies

If I viewed FS2004 on my "ViewSonic 22 inch P225f" monitor (CRT) with the resolution set at 1920 x 1200 would my screen look like the one in the Samsung? I can tell that "Mitch" realy, realy loves his new monitor (s) set at this resolution, but I did NOT like the way it looked. All of the textures were too small and "sharp", if you can believe that. I am nearsided and the screen looked like I was vewing it thru nearsided glasses that the Rx was way to strong. I did not like it. Then I pulled the res back down to 1600 x 1200 and to an extent, it was still too "strong". I then pulled the res back to MY normal veiwing setting of 1280 x 960 x 32 and all was well again. All of the textures and autogens etc looked be be of a "normal" size and looked like MY normal vision. The question is, if I do NOT like how my Fs2004 looks at a high resolution, is there any reason to "upgrade" to a "1920x1200 24 inch Samsung" because it is 2 inches bigger than mine and it is a "wide view" monitor? jerrycwo4

I am using a 37" Westinghouse and a Dell 27" running at 1920x1080 and 1920x1200 respectively. I couldn't be any happier, the distortion very minimal. The view OUTSTANDING!!Abe

The view OUTSTANDING!!-------------------------------....and then some....Besides flight simulation---movies are fantastic to watch! My two favorite movies are Dances With Wolves, and The Last Samurai. This 24 inch Samsung wide-view brings home the popcorn! ;)Mitch
