I have already answered the page file issue in a thread youstarted.I would not expect fps to be effected by memory size, unless youare really under-specified. 1G is usually enough for FS9 on XP.fps is effected by compute speed and GPU speed - which ever islimiting at the time of flight (ie set AF and AA to high andyour GPU will limit fps. Limited memory results mainly in stutter. Blurries are generally down to FSB/memory speed. On board sound can cause stutterThe above is a big generalisation though.Tom

Hi Tom,I've replied to your other post. The reason I added extra memory was not to improve frame rates. I've been around long enough to know that once a reasonable amount of RAM is installed it makes no difference to frame rates. What I was hoping to achieve was improved smoothness especially when taxiing around the airport where it can be quite jittery.I have AA set to 6X and AF to 16X and the graphics card seems suffficiently powerful to run with these settings. I don't suffer from the blurries too much either except if I switch to spot plane view and then back to cockpit where it will take some time to reload all the textures. I don't consider that a problem. Thanks for your advice. Once I've created a larger page file I'll try a few flights and see how things pan out.Cheers,
