December 18, 200718 yr Hi there! I'm new to the site, and glad to be part of the community! I fly fs2004 with several add-ons, but I was not able to figure out of there's any way to use my two displays for the cockpit. I don't mean one cockpit view, and some instruments on the other, but using both displays for thee really co cockpit, or virtual cockpit. I'd like to have this: I think it would bol with track IR :) Please don't tell me that I should buy the Triplehead2go from Matrox, I have only 2 displays, and probably it will not change in the future due to room limitations Smiley Any help would be highly appreciated, I'm really frustrated that I couldn't find out how to do this :) Greetings, neuwww.deploymentproductions.com
December 18, 200718 yr If you are using XP and have an nVidia video card, check the card configuration tools and see if you can find an option called Horizontal Span and turn that on. This will cause the video driver to "lie" to Windows, and claim to only have 1 really wide monitor that will cover both external monitors. Then when you go full screen, the VC will span across both monitors. This might also work with ATI, haven't used on of them in awhile so not sure if there's an option like that for them.Unfortunately, some change in Vista's handling of video drivers won't allow nVidia to offer this option under Vista, so the only choice there is a Matrox 3HTG (they also make a 2 monitor version I think - or you can probably only enable 2 of the ports on the triple version). December 18, 200718 yr I assume yes. I have the same resolution for both displays (1280x1024), and it works fine.

December 19, 200718 yr I have a 32" LCD running at 1280x1024 with a ATIx1950 If I buy another 32" and another card how would i make this work?Doesn't your existing graphics card have 2 outputs? You probably don't need a second card.. You may need to upgrade the one you've got though. Impossible to give any useful advice without knowing what your system Specs are and what operating system you're using! Also I'm wondering why you're operating a 32" monitor at that resolution... what make and model is it?Most 32" have a native resolution of 1366x768RegardsJim
December 20, 200718 yr Hi A word of warning here if you're attempting to span the virtual cockpit across two wide-screen monitors using an ATI graphics card.Unfortnately, ATI Catalyst doesn't support the total resolution that two widescreen monitors may give you, eg, it will not support two 1400x1050 giving an overall resolution of 2800x1400. The best you can hope for is 2560x1024. Which looks horrible as i found out !!! Fortunately, i managed to return my two 20" 1400x1050 widescreen monitors and bought two 19" 1280x1024's instead.I believe this is an issue that a lot of ATI users have found out when using TripleHead 2Go.Gary
