Hi Everyone.I have both fs9 and fsx on my pc with the ati radeon x800xte graphic card with the radeon 7.4 driver.The card works fine in fs9 but in fsx the images become distorted and the scenery etc is replaced by greyish pointed mountain likestructures.These appear randomly.I do not get this with any other programes.I have directx 9 installed.I have experemented with the latest ati driver and the same happens in fsx.Could somebody please help.Thank you.Qas

You may want to delete your FSX.cfg file and start again. That card will display FSX correctly.

Hi Qas, FSX may be pushing your card to the limit. It almost sounds like you either have some heat issues going on or your memory may be becoming defective. I would measure my temps (ATI Tray Tool) and give your HSF a good cleaning (will only help). After that I would clean my drivers and re-install them along with DX9. Another thing is I used to get stuff like that trying to run Adapative AA, although things seem to work better with the newer drivers. After all of that I would look to your FSX install.
