January 4, 200818 yr HiNow that FSX can separate the atc voice channel from the other sounds again (like FS9)I've tried to take advantage of this.I've set up the voice channel to use my onboard Realtek sound device using headphones, while directing the remaining sounds through my SB Audigy card to the speaker set up.It does work initially and is a great way to fly! But after a short time e.g. 10 mins or so, the frame rates grind to virtually a halt - 1 or 2 FPS.This only happens with this configurationAs a non tecchie I presume this is the two cards conflicting. Is there any clever trick I can pull to get around this problem? Are others having the same problem?CheersChris
January 4, 200818 yr Well what I did is use my SB X-Fi for the FS sounds themselves. Then, I connected my headset to my onboard audio, much liek you did. In vista, I went into the "sounds" menu or whatever and made it so that my onboard card was ONLY responsible for my headphones, and that's it. Worked like a charm.
