  1. I've got the same board and I'm sure you can turn it off/on Cheers Chris
  2. Just to cheer us all up. I did a full re-install for 3.3 and painstakingly rebuilt all scenery, aircraft and traffic. Today I uninstalled v3.3 client - 1 minute. And installed v3.2 client - 2 mins. Re-activated and everything works as before but with Runway markings etc back as normal. So ok for now. Cheers Chris
  3. +1 Chris
  4. Hi Where did you find this out? - should be good news I hope! Chris
  5. I've just bought the EVGA 970 FTW. Without any adjustments yet, its beating nearly all benchmarks. It is eminently overclockable apparently. Recommended.
  6. Hi, My EVGA 770 Classified 4gb does a good job with P3D v3 but I'm torn whether to add a second 770 and go SLI (new step to me!). Or should I buy a single more modern card - e.g. gtx 970. The cost is similar and within my budget. Also, if I go SLI will my Corsair 850 watt power supply be up to it? PC: i5 at 4.7 Ghz Liquid cooled on Asus P8Z68-V Pro Cheers Chris
  7. Hi You reminded me of this great plane! I've just installed it into P3D v2.5 using the Estonia migrator and it works flawlessly. The additional sound pack delivers terrific bass roar. I'll try it in P3D v3 this week Cheers Chris
  8. All UK 2000 airports work here Chris
  9. I've had a water-cooled i5 2500k o/c'd to 4.8 running safely for the last couple of years . Runs P3D very well. Chris
  10. Both the Quality Wings aircraft (BA146/Avroliner and Boeing 757) run very well and are ready to install in P3d v2.2. Also the Aerosoft A320 works well too but at the moment is not yet officially certified for P3d Chris
  11. There are some updated files on this site: http://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids.html They look like they should help to an extent. Has anyone tried them and can they indicate what difference they make? Cheers Chris
  12. Just bumping this - it's on sale in 2 week's time. Should be very interesting...
  13. As I see that the launch of this product is only a couple of weeks away, does anyone have further information about if it can be applied to FSX/P3D? Obviously if it couple be used to control switches or knobs in the vc it could be a major step forward in immersion. At only £69 for the device inc software it could be a "must have"! Chris
  14. Hi Has anyone tried this with P3D? Cheers Chris
  15. And don't forget David Maltby's superb freeware DH Comet, Trident, BAC 1-11 and VC10. All work in FSX. http://www.dmflightsim.co.uk/ Chris

Hi Maarten I have always used Ken Salter's Alacrity program with FSX and now P3D. As you may know it shuts down backround programs and Services then launches utilities e.g.TrackIR etc Pre P3D it used to launch FSX but now obviously I want it to launch your terrific program. Alacrity monitors a nominated program and when that is closed it closes the other utilities and restores Windows to its previous condition. Unfortunately if I include Simlauncher in this Alacrity process P3D boots incredibly slowly. Many, many minutes instead of about 1 minute. It doesn't matter if Simlauncher is the monitored program or not. I've tested every combination and I'm pretty sure about this. Can you think what might be cauisng this? At the moment I'm launching Simlauncher manually after Alacrity has done its work - but it would be nice to go back to a fully automated process! Cheers Chris
  17. Hi I looked into this last year and found this thread - see Lionhearts theory - too technical for me! http://www.prepar3d.com/forum-5/?mingleforumaction=viewtopic&t=966 Chris
  18. Yes it works fine but needs to be installed using the Estonia migrator tool Chris

Thanks Maarten - and have a Happy New Year Cheers Chris

Hi Maarten An odd problem with latest version I loaded a saved flight and changed the time to local time. It accepted this but changed the aircraft! Thomas Cook A321 turned into an Air Berlin A321. Mysterious eh? Did it every time too. Brilliant program! Cheers Chris PS it also loses the Gate position and puts it on the runway
  21. Nope. I can't get it working either. One suspects there must be a work-around but I can't spot it! Chris
  22. Should this work in P3D do we think? Cheers Chris
  23. Hi You do need to have the migrator running while using the UT2 interface. But it's not required for actual flying in P3D Chris
  24. Yes, I checked the EStonia forum and it seems to be well in hand for later this week
