  1. Yes, I checked the EStonia forum and it seems to be well in hand for later this week
  2. Yes I know. That was my point. Try the new 2.3 upgrade and tell me it still works.
  3. Now I know its not offically ok, but I do know some forum members have maybe used the migration tool and successfully installed GEX. If you are now tempted to upgrade GEX to the new version and interface - 2.30 - you may find it cannot be installed at all. Unless someone knows another work-around? Just a word of warning... Cheers Chris
  4. And here is the answer. When starting a New flight it appears to be loading the aircraft with empty tanks. Not even a few fumes... I should state this is in P3D Chris
  5. A different little problem here. When I create a new flight the sim starts fine but the aircraft engine(s) are not running - and won't start! This even on a C150. Am I doing something wrong or is it Simlauncher? Also does it have to start "Paused"? Cheers Chris
  6. Hi Tom, Yes, I think you are right. There is some comment on the official P3D forum about clickspots and, while I don't pretend to understand, the LM guy referred to "invisible cube nodes" as the likely culprit. Whatever they are... Cheers Chris
  7. Hi I don't know if there is any knowledge yet of changes made in P3D but I've run across one conundrum. Hopefully the brains on this board might be able to help! I have successfully transferred many FSX aircraft across to P3D with virtually no hitches whatsoever. However with one of my favourite aircraft - David Maltby's DH Comet - an odd problem. The VC panel is made up of 5 seperate sections in the panel.cfg. All the many dials and switches work as intended except that in just one section [Vcockpit02] (the centre panel) none of the switches are clickable. They are the same gauges as in the 2D panel where they work fine. I realise that this is an FS9 model adjusted for FSX where it works beautifully - but why just the one section unresponsive in P3D? In case anyone has any bright ideas I've attached a copy of the panel.cfg Cheers Chris
  8. Yep - can confirm it works like a charm. Great news - no more fiddling with the dll code. Reverted to the original file. This is another very important moment for P3D. For the other comment, I normally just "pause" trackir with my programmed mouse button and then pan outside with the hat switch. Cheers Chris
  9. Does anyone else get "tearing" on the main display when the ATC window is open? This is in Full Screen mode. I use all the recommended NVInspector settings with VSync set to 1/2 refresh rate Cheers Chris
  10. As the OP I can now report I have it running well. The Migration Tool was essential of course! I was also able to transfer the relevant files from my FSX set-up so minimising the workload in bringing it up to speed. Cheers Chris
  11. Actually I meant Ultimate Traffic 2 - should have been clearer!
  12. Well this is odd. I uninstalled ASE from the client and re-installed it. It worked straight away across to p3d with no adjustments! Cheers Chris
  13. Ah but... I've only had the 1.5 version from the start...
  14. Hi, can you be more precise out the registry changes please? I'd love to get ASE controlling the REXE clouds I've installed in P3D! Cheers Chris
  15. Hi Has anyone got this working properly in P3D? Chris
  16. Thanks for all the advice. In the end I restored Win7 to a day or so earlier and the FSX appdata file returned. I've saved a copy of it elsewhere and tried the migrator tool again. While it did its job on the installation process this time it removed the content of the appdata folder and a new fsx.cfg was created when starting FSX! So be very wary with it. Cheers Chris
  17. I've been busy setting up P3D with this excellent tool. It even got UT2 running. But I' seem to have made a major mess-up! The FSX directory in User/Appdata/Roaming/Microsoft has gone! Thinking through it I may have re-booted the pc while Virtual FSX was loaded. Anyway, I cannot load FSX at all now. Whichever mode I use I get I hope this is reverable - any ideas? Chris
  18. Hi Neumanix Did you say that the file will be in the Avsim library? I still can't work the download mechanism! Chris
  19. Hi It must be me being thick - but I can't download this file. I've downloaded Ilivid and run it but I get an error message when trying to download the file. Cheers Chris
  20. To start this off you must have a look at David Maltby's freeware jetliners. In particular the Comet with it's vc and systems is an absolute classic. They are originally FS9 but are fully operational in FSX. www.dmflightsim.co.uk Chris
  21. Do we know why the forum has vanished? Did it jump or was it pushed?? Chris
  22. Well Paul, I tried that but no joy. Also Alacrity did not restart afterwards. What order do you have the programs to start/ be monitored? CheersChris
  23. OK Paul thanks. I'll give that a tryCheersChris
  24. I use FS Limiter on a 2 screen FSX setup which means I set it to 60 fps to actually get 30 fps - a known factor. If I run Ken Salter's excellent Alacrity clean-up program first using the default "Vista" profile (I'm Windows 7) the FS limiter then defaults to 30 fps giving me only 15 when FSX starts. Clearly some process being shut down is causing this.Has anyone else run across this and has any solutions?CheersChris
