February 7, 200818 yr My dad was considering a Radeon 3870 in the beginning, but in the end, thanks to me, he ended up buying an 8800 GT. According to benchmarks over at ExtremeTech, the 8800 GT beats the 3870. However, DX10 gives me flickering taxiways, DX9 and 10 gives me flickering buildings, and I'm getting shimmers all over the place, even with nHancer. I'm having second thoughts. This may have been asked many times before, but I never got a clear answer:Does the 3870/3870 X2 series get rid of these flickering/shimmering issues, and does DX10 Preview work perfectly?
