February 12, 200818 yr Recently my aircraft start pulling dramatically to the right while taxiing. They fly right wing low on autopilot and off autopilot are not very controllable.I've had a Saitek Rumble Force (SZ9304154)for several years wihtout problems. However, there is some indication that it might be the cause, but not sure because I can't fly without it.Would appreciate any feed back as to problem or how to troubleshoot it.
February 13, 200818 yr Hi, I just had a problem somewhat like yours except I use Ch Products and it happened when I installed FSX on a new computer. Here's what happened:Installed FSX on new computer.Loaded default C 172.Calibrated all controls. (with and without FSUIPC)When I taxied the plane pulled to the right a lot. When I got it airborne it kept banking left and would not trim.Retried several time with same results.Got it into the air again and changed to default Cessna 208.It flew ok - straight and level.Landed, made it cold and dark and saved it as my default startup plane. The next time I tried the C172 all was ok - taxied straight and flew straight and level. Go figure.Don't know if this will somehow help you since my circumstances are a little different since I was starting from scratch with a new puter and new install of FSX.Jim
February 14, 200818 yr Thanks, but will not happen for me. Even uninstalled then reinstalled the Joy Stick. Also calibrated - several times.I guess my next step is to uninstall then re-install the program.Richard
February 14, 200818 yr I'm a little confused; the subject line says, "Aircaft Turn (pull) Left," but the description says, "pulling dramatically to the right." If they are turning left then it may be normal torque effect but if they tirn right then read on. All aircraft or just twin-engined aircraft? If only the latter then perhaps only the left engine (engine 1) is selected. This can happen accidentally if the E key is pressed. To select both engines, press the E, 1, 2 keys one by one in that sequence.R-
February 14, 200818 yr Thanks for the input. Right turn is correct. All multi, all engines running. I think there may be a corrupt file, so reinstalling may be the only way to go.Richard
February 14, 200818 yr >all engines runningYes all are running but are all throttles advancing equally? R-
February 15, 200818 yr One odd ball if you can't find any other reason - check the fuel levels. I recently changed from one aircraft type to another (Spitfire to Mooney) and ended with up all of the fuel in one wing tank, and the other side empty. Didn't notice until the plane kept dipping one wing and pulling left immediately after take-off. Presume the change from the Spitfire's centre tank was the cause.
February 16, 200818 yr Hi,Check the trim contols on your joystick, my grandson will playwith mine and if I don't check to see if thier centered, I get the problem you describe. Hope this helps.Arnold
