I noticed in the AC 500 Utube promo and review videos that when the sun is out it shines into the cockpit it moves around as the aircraft turns, climbs, etc.....just like it does in real world flying. However in my flight sim with the AC 500 and other aircraft I do not have this effect. I'm assuming there is a program out there that enables it. Please advise me what it is or how u get this effect to work. Thank You!

I too had a unresolved tech issue with the FSD Porter; Afteran initial takeoff everything works fine until I retarded the throttle and after that the aircraft would never exceed 98 knots. On the initial flight it always goes up to 120 KIAS or more. I tried everything I could think of, worked on it for days to no avail.....once the throttle was retarded the airplane would never get beyond 98 knots again. If I reset the flight it would do the same thing all over again.....120 plus knots until first throttle retarding and then would never go beyond 98 knots. I then encountered a 2nd issue, when flying the Porter Floatplane it will not slow down or stop on water no matter what you do....it just keeps on going and going and I can't stop it. I finally contact FSD support and explained my issue...their first response was " We've never heard of this issue ( the airspeed issue ) before therefore it's not our problem....it's your computer or flightsim that's causing it. They had me install an analyzer and send them the results...they then told me it all checks out and it's not us it's you and your equipment that's at fault.....repeating again that I was the only one with this issue. Several weeks later one of my group flying buddies asked me why I wasn't flying the Porter anymore and I explained why, he thereupon told me he was having the exact same problem ! I got back to FSD and told them about it and was told in reply: All you want to do is argue, there is nothing wrong with our Porter and we are NOT going to address your issue any more. I was flabbergasted ! A flightsim retailer talking to a customer like that....wow, that was a first for me. I then asked for a refund and was told I was not going to get one and that's the way it's going to be. To bad, they lost a good customer........telling me they just don't care.

Let me put it this way: the King Air B200 has 2 Garmin GNS 530's. You can intercept and capture vor radials and ILS ones with the # 1 ( primary) GNS 530. But, can you intercept and capture VOR radials with the # 2 GNS 530 ? By that I mean u dial the freq in the GNS 530 and then select the radial using the course selector in the A/P panel and then steer towards selected radial with "NAV" button engaged on the A/P panel. You will then get a capture as you approach / pass over the selected radial. We normally use the primary ( #1 ) GNS 530 to do the above....and my question is" can the 2nd GNS 530 do the same ? Hi, I'm trying to understand why the # 2 GNS 530's VOR will sometimes capture an intercepted radial and sometimes not. I do understand u cannot use the # 2 VOR for ILS....only the # 1 VOR. Is there a Rule Of Thumb about the # 2 VOR that would explain my initial question ? Thanks, Seehunt

I downloaded the update on the Just Flight web site and copied and pasted the required information from my original order that's on my account page, but I keep getting the message "Invalid Response" when I try to install. I'm entering my order number, my E-mail address and my last name as requested, but it will not install. I don't know what the problem is and the support at Just Flight is no help at all. I'm at the end of my patience. If anyone knows what I am doing that is wrong, I would appreciate your help. Thanks Arnold

Thanks for your help, I took option 2. I uninstalled ASE, ran CCleaner, run FSX, and reinstalled ASE. It now works like it should. Thanks again Arnold

Just started recently when trying to start ASE, the program crashes. Appcrashview shows the crash is from the KernelBase.dll. module. Does anyone know how to fix this problem. Thanks Arnold

Hi, I have been using teamspeak for a while now flying with some friends...however, I would like to branch out to communicate and fly with others...that said would someone please advise if this method to connect up is right: To connect up to the teamspeak server address ( speakus-10teamspeak.net:15797 ) do I just replace the address in the "server address " box ? And when finished with that communication put my original server address back into the "server address " window ? And when connected up to the teamspeak server address what's the next line item i click on to communicate with Teamspeak members ? Thanks, Seehunt

Hi Your videocard fan is not speeding up. I had the same problem and had todownload nvidia'a tools so I could manually set the VC fan speed.I set the fan speed to 100% before running FSX and problem solved. Hope this helps Arnold

Hi BlueyI also have a 285GTX videocard and I'm using the 197.45 driver.I had similar problem to yours, I was getting black screens because the video driver would stop and restart after a number of seconds.Anyway, the problem was because the fan on the video card was only running at 40% and would not increase while using FSX.The fix was downloading system tools from Nvidea and manually setting the fan speed to 100% before startingFSX. Violla no more black screen, FSX works perfectly and has been for months.Hope this helps.Arnold

My system i7975 cpu, windows 7 64, BFG 285 Gpu, Asus P6T deluxe v-2 MB.My problem is that when running FSX the screen goes black for a few seconds and thencomes back on.I tried running in window mode to see if it helped, but it still went black on me, onlyin window mode I get a message box stating that the video module stopped respondingand recovered. These black screen incidents can be a few seconds to 30 or more seconds.The higher I set autogen, the more frequent the blackouts. This seems to have only started since I upgraded to widows 7 and after I had my video card replaced because ofbad memory on the card. BFG replaced with the same model card I had.Does anyone know if there is any cure for this problem Or if maybe replacing the videocard with an ATI 5870 would cure the problem.Arnold

I have the same problem using ASX. Altimeter settings below 18000 ft keep changing everycouple of minutes. Not very realistic.I also use RC4.I brought this up on the HiFi forum, but didn't get any solutions to the problem.I stopped using ASX and now use FSX static weather.Arnold

I also have problems with the altimeter settings in ASX.On a flight of approx. 150 miles I'll get a setting from RC4of say 30.09 and about two minutes later I'll get a settingof 29.84, then about two minutes later I'll get anothersetting of around 30.08. These constant changes continuethroughout the entire flight. I know this isn't realistic.These setting are actually changing because when I get a change I hit the B key and my setting change to what RC4 reports. Is there a fix for this problem. Arnold
