March 10, 201214 yr I fly for Cayman Airways. There are multiple real world airlines listed in the drop down menu, but Cayman Airways is not one of them. I'd like it if Radar Contact would say, "Cayman XXXX" (XXX being my callsign) on my flights.I'm able to get it work when I fly for SWA as it will say, "Southwest XXXX".Is it possible to added Cayman to the drop-down list?Thank you for your time, tips and suggestions. So far RADAR CONTACT is VERY nice :Peace:Happy Flying. March 10, 201214 yr Commercial Member without the spoken name for the aircraft you want to add, it won't do much good.do a windows search, on the rcv4scriptspilotscripts directory. look for the string caymen, in the file name and/or in the contents. if there is one, let me know, and we'll get it connected to the dropdown listjd JD Read my blog
March 10, 201214 yr Actually I was going to ask a similar question, I noticed etihad is also missing. Unfortunately it is also missing in the pilotscript directory as well :S Bilal Asif Khan
March 10, 201214 yr CACTUS,CACTUS,America West Airlines Inc - USA is the radio call in RC for this airline.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/America_West_Airlines describes the merger in 2005 of US Airways and America West, US Airways for some flights uses the cactus radio call and AWE and the airline code. In RC US Airways has the radio call US Air.Your ai or user aircraft aircraft.cfg section ATC_Ident for the livery used in that aircraft.cfg is what ai returns from FS. This all depends on your traffic application. This means that all of your US Airways liveries will need to have the ATC_Airline in their aircraft.cgs changed to cactus from us air so that is will be reported to RC as:atc_airline=US AIR toatc_airline=cactusIt is also your option (not an RC function but an ai parking function) to change the parking code as:atc_parking_codes=USAatc_parking_codes=AWEif your airport parking codes have been updated. Use the wikipedia articles to hunt the aircraft used by America West and for US Airways the current and retired fleet to get the paints to be changed to make those ai and user aircraft radio code (and optionally parking code) changes and as always make safe copies of the aircraft.cfgs you are going to edit.US AIR,US AIR,US Airways Inc - USA is the current data line for US Airways.CACTUS,CACTUS,America West Airlines Inc - USA,0, 0 is the current data line for America West.If you want you can change the dropdown by making a safe backup copy of the file c4.csv in the RC data folder in a safe folder somewhere outside of RC. You can the edit with Word or Notepad - do not use Excel or a spreadsheet or database application to modify the America West line as:CACTUS,CACTUS,US Airways Inc - USA,0, 0.Do not change any spacing or comma placement. Just drag your mouse over the airline name and enter it as shown.
April 17, 201313 yr I also fly for Cayman. Is there something we can get you to help get it on the list? A voice file something? I willing to help if I can to get what you need. Thanks Cay097 JonJon11
April 17, 201313 yr There is no cayman wave file in the RC wav libraries. There is a section on the RC43 manual about setting this up. The problem you would face is however in each controller and pilot .wav library you voice would stand out as not matched with the rest of the phrases which vary in accent by region. RC voices are all human recordings and not synthesized. for the most realistic reproduction. If you go to the voices tab in RC and look at the pilots\copilots tabs and the controllers tab, that would show you the number of voice libraries you would have to add that .wav to. As you click on each voice it will show you the country flag of each voice indicating the accent used. Changing the script and airline data files is just text editing. It is creating all of the .wav files that is the problem.
