Which Joystick Should I Buy?

Featured Replies

My Saitek AV8R-01 joystick is malfunctioning.I am in the market for a joystick, money is no object. Due to the physical limitations of my computer desk, I cannot use a two unit stick, which has a separate throttle unit, and joystick unit like the Saitek X52. i need a joystick which has the rudder and throttle controls on the same stick.I am unable to use my rudder pedals because of the physical set-up of my computer desk. I also do not want a wireless stick.I would like a recommendation based on your hands on experience.Thank you.StannerStanner

Hi!OK so you need a plain bare stick with twist grip and a throttle axis. MIcrosoft joystick from the old 3D-Pro (gameport but adapter available) to the precision-pro 2 are exellent, only pity they are not around the market any more, but you may finde some around the Net for very bargain prices...or else there are lots around of varying quality... for what I know these are always quite cheap... Saitek makes some good ones... just step in a PC store and you may find something interesting...http://www.mario.wspilots.com/signature_forum.gifhttp://www.mariopilot.6x.to

If you could ever find a MS FF2, that would be great. Difficult, though. I fly with an MS FF2 and a Saitek Cyborg Evo as a throttle. Works great.Saitek makes a nice force feedback stick. It's about $100. My buddy just bought one and likes it. If you haven't flown FFB yet, you need to.

I couldn't agree more about the Microsoft FF2 stick. I use one daily, and I've tried everything else. Nothing compares, provided you use Dirk's FF2 program. It makes the forces much more realistic. I certainly hope mine never breaks because they are so hard to find. Stan

Saitek Cyborg EVO. Really comfortable and easy access to buttons. Thumb button positions are adjustable and so is the wrist rest. Excellent value for money.Jim

Sitek Cyborg Evo all the way !! There is the regular one and the one with force feedback ! pick one you will not regret it
