March 18, 200818 yr I have been using both of the products with FSX without any problems. I decided to try my old friend FS2004. But, I can't get the throttle, prop and mixture to work in a two engine stock plane. Can someone please let me know if there is an issue with this product and FS2004.Thanks in advance to all who reply.Bill
March 21, 200818 yr sorry this won't answer your question, but does fall under the same topic. I have just purchased the Saitek Yoke & throttle for use with FS2004, and I have not yet installed the Saitek software. the various buttons seems to work great for changing views and a few other functions, but many of the buttons aren't yet programmed. Are there some "Standard" functions or button layout I should program in? And if so, do I use FS2004 settings to do that, or install the SAitek CD-ROM to do that?
March 21, 200818 yr FSUIPC is very useful in this role; don't know if either of you have the program. You might try the Saitek forums for assistance:http://www.saitekforum.com/index.php Rick
March 22, 200818 yr If there isn't provided a "button map", go into the control panel game controllers, and push all the buttons / axis on the yoke and throttle to see what directinput buttons are reported by each. Then go into the FS9 control assignments, select the proper controller, and go through all the joystick buttons and assign the ones you want. You need to do this for both normal and slew modes. IIUC buttons 9,10,11 are assigned to the "mode" key on the yoke, and these should not be used in command assignments for FS9.Alternatively you could install the Saitek software SST program which allows progamming profiles into the controllers. You can use this to assign keyboard key presses to the buttons, instead of the directinput buttons. Among other things, this allows you to set timings and repeats, as well as different actions for button down and button up.scott s..
