Is there anyone here who has an 8800GT, that has solved the problem of not being able to turn on AA. Just got this card today, and was totally caught off-guard by this. AS is working just fine, as you can see what's happening when you change the setting. Butt AA is another problem. From having it off to 16x, there is absolutley no change......jaggies, shimmering, etc. If I go and turn AA on in FS9, it improves greatly.I uninstalled old drivers, used DC and everything before installing new card and driverss. From what I've read since on nVidia's forum, is that this is very common on 8800GT and 8800GTS boards, but doesn't affect the 8800GTX. It also supposedly shows itself on certain MS and EA games. Is this true or lore? If this is what I can expect, its going back. I had better graphics with a Ti-4600 years ago. Thanks!Rick

Do a search here where its been explained in detail. You will prob need to get Nhancer and jump through a bunch of hoops. It sometimes works for me.Basically you copy the Nvidia's profile with Nhancer, delete it and use Nhancer to control your cards settings.Good luck.

When you say it sometimes works for me, that scares me. Do you mean that you cannot get smooth textures all the time? If that's the case, I think this board will go back. The ATI x1900x I had in blows this board away visually. I'm doing some mods, and the 8800 came recommended by a graphics pro. Apparently, he was not aware of this problem.Rick

It doesn't work "sometimes". It's working always. Using 174.74 drivers, which work great for me, with latest version of Nhancer, and if you set it up correctly (like said many times on these forums), you will *ALWAYS* get AA and AF you set. I never run Nhancer (except for initial setup), disabled all Nvidia startups (except control panel applet), and still AA and AF are working like a charm. Also Nvidia service can be terminated.
