New WHQL Driver Out for all NVIDIA GPU's

Just a heads-up NVIDIA just released the 175.19 WHQL display drivers (http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us). Suppose to improve a lot of things. I didn't see any fixes for the DX10 Preview setting but I did see improved performance. I ran a 3DMark Vantage benchmark and these drivers performed much better. Previous driver benchmark was 8543 and this driver's benchmark was 9546, a little over 100 points higher. Best regards,Jim

Interesting. I filtered for English (UK) rather than English (US) and they weren't listed.Why would that be? Do you have to have an American accent to use them?:-lol

hehehe. I was kind of joking around. You're right. I ain't skeered of nuthin.And this bit about accents. Can you tell where someone is from in the UK by their accent? I mean, sure Scotland is very noticeable. But can you tell, say, someone from Cornwall vs. someone from the Midlands, etc.?

I'm with you Rhett. Any driver newer than 169.25 just causes flickering screen issues on the secondary (4th) monitor with my TH2G setup. To me it usually ain't worth the effort.Gary

<Most of the time yes. But a devon/Cornwall accent might sound similar to one from Norfolk to people in other parts of the country. Around Birmingham and Liverpool accents are very pronounced. I'm sure you've heard a Scouse accent - The Beatles were from Liverpool of course.For such a small country the range of accents as well as the small area they can cover is remarkable.Of course to a Londoner everyone else talks funny and to anyone up North all those further south are deemed "Southern Jessies". Something to do with life - and therefore folk - being harder up North especially in Yorkshire.Anyway, back to reality. Are they installed yet and is there any difference?

I'm taking a "wait and see" approach with these new WHQL's. (smiles sheepishly)Really right now, I am trying to get a new ISP, and get rid of my satellite TV (I live in a forest, too many trees)...so I have a lot on the ol' plate going on.I'm also trying to get Flight1 to fix my FEX (I have not been able to install FEX on my new computer yet!) license key. Crud, I just put on 174.xx or something. I'm probably just going to boot my 8800GT and get a 4850 to fix the DX10 runway flickering...I guess I have to wait till someone confirms that the 4850 doesn't have the DX10 problems...

OK I have loaded the new driver. For me I have noticed a notable improvement in the smoothness. I am not seeing any higher FPS but much improved smoothness. I have also noticed that in one of my scenery packages where I had a building or two flickering that it no longer does. I have not reloaded Nhancer yet and am just using in game AA and AF. I am using the let the app decide the settings in the Nvidia control panel. Over all I am very pleased, probably one of the best I have tried to date. Allright all you chickens, load em if you got em !
