July 5, 200817 yr this is slightly off topic, but considering i'll be needing internet to fly FSX online, I'll ask here:Which is better, AT&T or Comcast?I'm looking at AT&T Elite Plan for $35/mo (6Mbps / 768kbps)vscomparably priced Comcast. Comcast's site sucks, doesn't have a "compare plan" feature... so I'm not really sure what the exact speeds are of their different plans.I'm leaning towards AT&T due to the price for 6Mbps. But is 6Mbps fast enough for gaming?
July 5, 200817 yr Commercial Member I know it's not one of your options, but if Verizon Fios is in your area, I would recommend that. I have the 15/2 option and it's awesome.______________Efrain RuizLiveDISPATCHhttp://www.livedispatch.orgCooler Master cosmos SDFI LP UT P35 T2R (3-17-2008 BIOS) | E8400 @ 4GHz (500MHz x 8) | 2 x 2GB OCZ Flex II PC9200EVGA Nvidia GTX280Two (2) WD3200AAKS 320GB (Operating System RAID-0) | Two (2) WD3200AAKS 320GB (Flight Simulator RAID-0)Corsair CM PSU-750TX | Asus 20X DVD Regards, Efrain RuizLiveDISPATCH @ http://www.livedispatch.org (CLOSED) ☹️
July 5, 200817 yr Comcast technical support = tards lolOur neighborhood is now wired for Verizon. But I don't know anyone who has it yet. I am sick of Comcrap.
July 6, 200817 yr Beware a heard a news story about a week ago, that ATT is looking to start charging usage fees per download on their service. Seems more and more people are getting their TV and movies from the internet, and it's cutting into their cable TV service, so they want to charge by the amount downloaded to discourage it's use for that purpose. I haven't heard if ComCast or the others are looking to do the same, but I would think it's likely, as they're in the same boat as ATT. I would be surprised if Verizon did it at this point, since their medium is still new and in the middle of a nationwide rollout (We getting it here!) promotion, but I could see them following suit in a year or so. July 6, 200817 yr We had Comcast for quite some time and it was so-so. Didn't like the service being down so often and rates that seemed to jump every 3 months. Now we have Wide Open West (WOW) and find it better.Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
