New 9600 GT, terrible blurries??

Featured Replies

I've just changed from a 7600GT to a 9600GT, and now I have blurries all over the place. Is there a list of quick fix steps I can do to sort it out again? Thanks in advance, Mark

Hopefully, you uninstalled your old drivers before installing the new ones. Then made sure your new card is listed in the FSX cfg. If your old card is still listed, erase that line, rstart FS and check the cfg again. Good luck.Bob

I haven't got any numbers and so far I haven't tried it in a dense environment like Heathrow say, but it definitely looks better to my eyes with the same frame rate, and I've been able to bump up to AA and AF settings without losing frames I think. I read that the gap from an 8xxx to 9xxx was not that much, but from the 7xxx series is reckoned to be noticeable. In my case it was hardware failure that drove the upgrade, although in the end it turned out to be the mobo - I thought I'd keep the new graphics card in there anyway ;)
